Purpose of the site

The Bond Lab site provides free molecular biology calculators and sequence utilities, educational guides, laboratory protocol notes, research news summaries, and related materials for education and research support. Nothing on this site is a substitute for professional medical, clinical, legal, or safety advice.

Tools and calculations

Browser-based tools are provided “as is” without warranty. Results may contain errors; always verify critical calculations, preparations, and experimental designs using independent methods and institutional procedures before use in the lab or clinic.

Do not submit identifiable patient data, confidential unpublished sequences, or other sensitive information unless your policies allow it and you accept the associated risk (see our Privacy notice).

News and summaries

News articles are short editorial summaries of external publications or announcements. They are not peer review, not medical advice, and may omit detail. Figures and quotations remain subject to the original publisher’s copyright; cite and reproduce them only according to that source’s terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Intellectual property

Site design, original text, and Bond Lab software descriptions are copyright The Bond Lab unless otherwise stated. Third-party journal content, images, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Protocols and guides reflect lab practice but do not transfer rights to third-party methods or reagents.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Bond Lab and the University of Bristol disclaim liability for direct or indirect loss arising from use of or reliance on this site, including tool outputs, summaries, or downloaded materials.
